The LaFayette Public Library is now open without appointments. Please note: we are maintaining health protocols during the pandemic: wearing a face covering while in the building, using the hand hand sanitizer provided upon entering the library and maintaining a safe social distance. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping us safe and healthy.
Returning items: No more quarantine! You can use the outdoor book drop and the indoor book drop. All items will be checked in the day of return during library hours. The outside book drop with be unlocked 24/7
You can place holds (reserve an item) as you normally would: either online (click here for instructions) or by calling us -315-677-3782 (see hours below)
Picking up items
We have discontinued appointments, so you can pick up items anytime during library hours
Pickup and browse hours
Monday & Tuesday – 10 – 7:00
Wednesday – 10 – 5:00
Thursday – 12 – 7:00
Friday 10 – 5:00
*Closed Saturdays July through Labor Day
Computer use: in house and wireless
As mentioned above, we have discontinued appointments. We are still maintaining the social distancing protocol, so every other computer is available, and we ask you wear a mask while using the computer. Wireless is available 24/7. We have spots to sit with your device while still maintaining social distancing inside the building
Have puzzles that you've finished? Want a new challenge? Bring your old puzzles in and exchange them with our inventory.
The Puzzle Exchange is found in our front foyer.
Our Maker Corner is growing! In addition to our 3D printer and Lego Mindstorms, we have added the ever popular littleBits, as well as the internet phenomenon Makey Makey.
