ABOUT THE LAFAYETTE PUBLIC LIBRARY
LaFayette Public Library was established in 1936. In 1966 the Library moved to the old Farrington House. Then, in 1996 it was moved to its present location, LaFayette Commons. It is one of the southernmost libraries affiliated with the Onondaga County Public Library System.
The Onondaga County Public Libraries have over a million books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs and magazines. We also have specialized equipment, materials, and knowledgeable staff!

Reading is the most basic of survival skills in an information-driven society and we strive to increase the rate of literacy and reading comprehension.
